RIVERBEND VILLAGE | CHARLOTTE, NC
RKA’s Winston-Salem office provided transportation engineering services for Riverbend Village, a proposed mixed-use development on an estimated 116 acres at the intersection of Brookshire Blvd. and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte, NC. Riverbend Village will also serve as the location for the new Corning headquarters.
RKA prepared a traffic study and coordinated closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the City of Charlotte DOT. RKA suggested a continuous flow intersection (CFI) for the area, which is anticipated to be the first in the State once constructed.
